How much does the faith content vary between Christian curricula?

A great deal. Some programs simply use Scripture in copywork and word problems while teaching standard content. Others build the entire scope around a theological framework, particularly in science and history. Denominational leanings also differ. Read a sample of the actual lessons rather than the mission statement.

Do Christian programs cover academics as rigorously?

The strongest ones do, and several are known specifically for rigor. Faith content and academic quality are independent variables, so evaluate them separately. Look at the scope and sequence, the writing expectations, and how math and science progress, the same way you would with any program.

What is the difference between Christian and classical Christian?

Classical Christian programs add a specific pedagogy on top of the faith content: the trivium stages, Latin, formal logic and rhetoric, and heavy primary-source reading. A program can be Christian without being classical, and classical without being Christian. If you see both labels, you are getting both the worldview and the method.

Can we use a Christian curriculum and still meet state requirements?

Yes. No state dictates the worldview of your materials. States that regulate homeschooling set required subjects, instructional time, and sometimes assessment, and a faith-based program can meet all of those. Check your state's specific requirements to be sure the subjects are covered.
